[dis]Función Williams
2016
A large-scale multidisciplinary performance conceived together with Leonello Zambón for the *Función Williams* series, curated by Leandro Frías and Marcelo de la Fuente. With the National Museum of Music (former National Library) as both setting and protagonist, the duo presented a single performance of an unusually large scale. Zambón filled the space with an uncountable number of devices, cables, and instruments recovered, modified, or directly built by him, while the visual setup occupied three screens of different sizes, one of which moved across the stage. One of the premises of the series was that each work should enter into dialogue with the space, especially with the building’s particular acoustic reverberation. The images oscillated between textural abstraction and ghostly portraits of the architecture. A one-time performance, fortunately documented on video by Sebastián Durán.
