Visual design for the play directed by Mariana Obersztern, based on Eric Barenboim’s book. Developed during the pandemic, the production at the National Cervantes Theatre was staged without an audience and recorded for online viewing. The visual design was created from a distance of 12,000 km, making Leo Val’s work as director of photography and camera operator essential to the production of the video material. The images include graphic pieces and complementary scenes featuring the performers themselves.
